Guest Post on The Outdoor Adventure Blog
Folks that know me are probably aware that it really gets on my nerves when other people tout climbing as a sport for only extreme, thrill-seeking, adrenaline junkie uber-athletes. I think one of the best parts about climbing is that due to the many different types and styles of climbing, there’s more than enough room for responsible, safety-conscious, mere mortals like myself and the majority of my climbing friends. So when Paul Osborn over at The Ourdoor Adventure Blog asked me to do a “Climbing 101″ post for his readers, I of course jumped on the chance to dispel some common misconceptions that a lot of folks have about the sport of rock climbing. Check out my post by clicking here, and be sure to check out the rest of the site as well – its chock full of outdoorsy fun, from survival tips and gear reviews to backcountry cooking tips and other do-it-yourself projects.
