Thank you for this review/experience. I struggle to keep a hat on my little, and sunglasses don’t get half a second. I bought some baby banz glasses, and my little immediately tried pulling them off and ended up with the fram going across his eye – not at all comfy.

Do you have some suggestions for getting them to wear a hat or suggestions of some good hats? My son is ten and a half months old and will pull off the hat quicker than I can get it tied on!

I love your blog. We are not a climbing family but we are a running and cycling family still working out how to include our gorgeous boy in activities safely. I love reading about your experiences and am storing away little tidbits for later reference!

I hope that you’re in less pain now and that you are healing well.

Kate – Maybe you don’t need to go so far as to break your ankle, but perhaps a staged laser session would be in order?

Emily – I vote we take advantage of the “monkey see – monkey do” years while we can. Soon enough we’ll be dropping them off at school a block away so they aren’t seen with us…:)

I just ordered our third pair of julbo’s. I think he was about 4 months when i started putting the first pair on him and now at 25 months he wears his shades (or did until they were just too small for his giant head) and puts the too-small ones on his stuffed animals. I think our success was a combo of starting so young and, like you said, “monkey see – monkey do.”

Funny, I just bought a pair of these exact same glasses for our G-baby a week or two ago after a disastrous attempt at snowshoeing on a sunny day. I think the poor kid might have been slightly snow blind, or it just hurt too much to look anywhere but into his blanket. We’ve never been able to keep sunglasses on him, and the julbo’s aren’t faring too much better. But, he did wear them for 10 or so minutes on a walk last weekend, so maybe persistence will pay off? Or, maybe I should break my ankle?
